Red Bull Manny Mania AM Denver Results
Denver, CO—August 22, 2009—Eight hundred skateboard fans descended on Red Bull Manny Mania Saturday afternoon in Denver. The day began with 40 talented skaters from all four corners of Colorado, each competing for their chance at fame and fortune, also known as national recognition in the skateboard community and $7,000 in prizes. In the end only one man was left still rolling on two-wheels; that one was Julian Christianson.
“Wow, the competition was HOT! I was really impressed with all the competitors at this event,” exclaimed Christianson after hearing he would top the podium. “Red Bull Manny Mania really brings a whole new side to the Denver skate scene.”
By winning the Denver competition, Christianson will have his performance posted on the Red Bull Manny Mania website alongside the winners from the other 14 stops across the U.S. The skater with the most votes at the end of the summer wins a digital video camera prize pack, valued at more than $7,000.
Rounding out the podium were Jerel Roberts winning second prize, and Alex Heath winning third place as well as “Best Trick.” “Denver’s finest skaters came out for Red Bull Manny Mania,” commented Manny Mania judge Sean Robinson. “They made my job really difficult.”
Adding to the allure of the event, Red Bull Manny Mania was broadcast live on-site. Utilizing Core Action’s revolutionary filming system, cameras mounted on the competitors decks shot video of each skater. That video was then fed to numerous plasma TVs on-site. Participants can now visit COREACTION.COM to download their performance.
