LEFT SIDE:
So Nice, Why Not Twice?
Broke my wrist two times, both while skating. First time I just got a cast. Second time I had to get surgery with a plate and seven screws. Mr. Wilson’s are a bitch.

Bone Staples
This leg is weak and needs to be replaced. I broke the little bone on my left leg, the one that keeps your foot straight. Also tore the tendons, which happened not to be a clean break but a twisted one where the bone kind of shatters in two places. That got me a plate with seven screws; five through the bone that broke and two straight through the ankle to keep the whole thing in place while healing. My disconnected tendon was stapled back to the bone. Feels OK except for when I’m hung over. Then it aches for some reason.

Big Toe No No
I tweaked my big toe on my left foot when I tried to bail ballerina style. It shattered the joint of my toe and tore the tendon that keeps it aligned. Whenever I put weight on it, it would just go to the side and hurt. The shattered bone pieces were removed and the tendon was stapled back to where it belongs. This injury bothered me more than anything. It’s unbelievable how much you need your big toe for skating. Doc said it shouldn’t bother me for the next 10 years. Great doc, I recommend him. He’s doctor Keith Donatto for anyone who need’s a toe pro.

CENTER:
Lead in the Head
I stuck a pencil in my forehead and broke off the tip when I was using my bed as a trampoline. Not really a skate anatomy but whatever.

Helmet? Hell Yes!
I’ve hit my head plenty of times. Nothing too bad, I just blacked out once. Nothing like Mr. Hardy. Thank god for cranium helmets.

It’s Not A Punching Bag
I’ve gotten punched in the balls by my board too many times, but they still work.

RIGHT SIDE:
Gimme Two… More
Broke my right wrist twice, too. The first time it broke was when I supermanned my way from a swing set right into a tree. The second time, I was trying to caveman a 9-stair. I’ve had two casts and now I have some wonderful arthritis to look forward to.

Frontal Hipper
Bunch of right side hippers because of my goofy stance. Not so many on the left side since I don’t go backwards too much.

It’s a Given
Right leg is completely healthy except for the standard sprained ankles which come with skating.
