éS Game of SKATE Amateur World Championships

Lake Forest, CA - On Saturday, September 8, 2007 the éS Game of SKATE, presented by Boost Mobile, hit the show floor at ASR in San Diego, California. Thirty two of the best amateur skateboarders, all winners of regional Games of SKATE were flown in, all-expenses-paid, courtesy of éS and Boot Mobile. The ams were so excited to be in Cali, and they came ready to stomp the competition - nobody in the crowd was let down with all the action that transpired.

Once again Alex Mizurov threw out every variation he had in his bag of tricks to knock out the competition and earn the title of éS Game of SKATE Amateur World Champion. Alex received a Boost Mobile i885 mp3 player / camera phone with unlimited service for one year, a year’s supply of SKF bearings, a year’s supply of Jessup grip tape and a year’s subscription to TransWorld Skateboarding magazine.

Next up was the éS Game of SKATE Pro Contest, an invitational event with a prize purse of $20,000 to be shared among the top four skaters. It was hard to pinpoint a favorite since there were a ton of skaters ripping. Betting pools were going off everywhere as people tried to speculate a winner, but Chris Cole and éS Footwear’s own Nyjah Huston emerged as the final two skaters. The pair went head-to-head for almost two dozen tricks with Chris finally knocking out Nyjah on the final trick with a huge backside 360 kickflip. éS Game of SKATE Pro Contest Winners Chris Cole $10,000 Nyjah Huston $5,000 Mike Mo Capaldi $3,000 Javier Sarmiento $2,000
