Koston Off Lakai ?

Add Comment

As of today, Eric Koston will no longer be a part of Lakai Footwear. Lakai has arrived at this decision mutually and believe it will ultimately create a better situation for all parties involved. Lakai thanks Eric for his contributions over the last three years and wish him well wherever his path may lead.

Good Luck Koston!

More at LAKAI.

I'm Really Really Sad About This Koston And Lakai Was The Most Famous Parcery In The World Of Skate ,, When Someone Says Koston ,This Simultaneously Come On My Mind LAKAI I'm Ansious 2 Know Whats The New Sponsor Of Koston , And I Have Fear About The Parcerys ( GIRL , FOUR STAR , ROYAL) Cause This Is Distributed By The Same Distribution ... So ,,, Good Lucky Koston

I think if Koston really left he would be probably make his own shoe i dont think he would leave Lakai for a shoe company like Etnies or a brand that sells less product than companies like fallen, Emerica, or Vans... i think its just a joke cause right now everyone is switching companies for example how Leo Ramero went from baker to Toymachine... i dont think Koston will go to Etnies cause its a less Popular Brand anyways usually when skaters change companies they go to more popular companies that will pay them more.

i cant believe koston is off lakai. he changed the future of skateboarding for alot of kids. his part in fully flared made people want to go out and skate. i really cant see him anywhere else, maybe on dvs, but its besides the point, koston helped make lakai what it is today, but i hope the future is bright for koston good luck

since lakai's team is so huge and they don't want to lose more fresh or soon to be pros because they can't afford giving them all promodels - guess what? the missing paychecks for a hotshot like koston are providing space for three other pros to get a promodel. i guess he's leaving for the better of the whole lakai team, if not even taking some of them with him to start a subdivision of lakai under a different name. duh huh

Eric Koston wouldn't leave Lakai For reasons that would hurt him, Nor would he leave a company without something already Lined up, Granted he came out with highly influential shoes on eS we can all agree the company couldn't really offer him what he wanted, which showed when he went to lakai releasing 2 pro models initially and releasing two more within 3 years, Lakai was were I personally believe he wanted to be but he's getting up there in years, and Lakai is stacked and he left them more popular than ever but there needing room for there up and comming pro's and i think it was time for them to part, i really don't think he'll go anywhere except his own shoe company through crailtap... NO DVS but him and Tim Gavin I believe will start there own gig, and quite possibly see the return of a modern K3, either way he's koston!, possibly the best to ever step on a board and you know he's got something for us... watch for something in JULY

I don't even like Koston as a skater, but even I kept up with what was going on. Before this thread was even posted on this site, he was already working it out with Nike. There's an old interview with Koston where the interviewer asks, "What would it take for you to get off Lakai?" Koston's response, "A larger pay." That's the main reason I don't like Koston.
