3rd-ANNUAL “STAND UP FOR SKATEPARKS” HOSTED BY TONY HAWK, SEAN PENN AND JAMIE LEE CURTIS to benefit Tony Hawk Foundation's mission to create quality public skateparks in low-income communities. November 5, 2006 – Green Acres, Beverly Hills

Visa, CA -- October 20, 2006 -- The Tony Hawk Foundation's third-annual Stand Up For Skateparks benefit returns to Beverly Hills on Sunday, November 5, 2006. Co-chaired by Tony Hawk, Sean Penn, Jamie Lee Curtis, David Spade, Jon Favreau, Benicio Del Toro, Stacy Peralta, Mat Hoffman, Shaun White, Chad Hedrick, Robert Kotick (Activision), and Bob McKnight (Quiksilver), this one-day family-centric carnival will take place at the expansive Green Acres estate of Ron Burkle.

The November 5 event envelops Burkle’s Green Acres Estate and will feature a vert demo by Tony Hawk, Bob Burnquist, Pierre Luc Gagnon, Bucky Lasek, Mat Hoffman, Andy Macdonald, and Shaun White. The main lawn areas of the Estate will feature an extensive number of adult- and kid-friendly interactive activities, crafts, food, live and silent auctions, and great giveaways, plus a skate clinic with THF Board Member Mike Vallely and a special musical performance by Anarchy Orchestra.

Proceeds from Stand Up For Skateparks will help the Tony Hawk Foundation fulfill its mission of assisting low-income communities in the development free, quality public skateparks. For more information on Stand Up For Skateparks, including tickets, log on to www.standupforskateparks.org.

ABOUT THE TONY HAWK FOUNDATION A charitable, non-profit organization, the Tony Hawk Foundation was established in 2002 by its namesake, professional skateboarder Tony Hawk, to promote and provide funds for high-quality public skateparks throughout the United States with an emphasis on the word “quality.” Since then, the Foundation has awarded $1,312,334 to 291 communities. The Foundation focuses on working with local officials and grassroots, community-based organizations that plan to hire designers and contractors with strong experience designing and building skateparks.

The Tony Hawk Foundation was established by a gift from Tony Hawk. Its directors raise additional funds through events, industry donations, and continuing contributions from Tony and other entities. In addition to skateparks, the Foundation also makes donations to other children-related charities, as chosen by its Board Of Directors. For more information or to make a donation, access the Foundation's Web site at www.tonyhawkfoundation.org.
