FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ELEMENT SKATEBOARDS ANNOUNCES TODD FRANCIS AS HARDGOODS ART DIRECTOR

Irvine, CA – October 10, 2008

Element is proud to announce resident artist and Element Advocate, Todd Francis, has been newly appointed the position of Hardgoods Art Director.

Todd Francis has been designing skate graphics for fifteen years. His artwork has helped define several distinct companies such as Element Skateboards, Stereo, Real Skateboards, Antihero Skateboards, and Spitfire Wheels. He is best known for applying political and environmental satire to his past graphics for Antihero Skateboards. Since 1999 Todd has created some of the best known boards for Element and since 2002 has been exclusively doing deck graphics for Element. Todd’s objectionable body of work can also be seen at http://www.toddfrancis.com/.

“I've been friends and worked alongside Todd Francis for nearly a decade and it's been nothing but a great experience. Todd is responsible for some of the industry’s most recognizable and influential art, he’ll just never admit it. We’re proud to welcome Todd in a permanent capacity to Element where he’ll continue to build on his unquestionable legacy.” – Johnny Schillereff, Element’s Founder and President

“Element has been my home for the last ten years, and now I get my very own desk.  I’ve got a good feeling about this.” – Todd Francis

Todd’s most recent work is currently on display at the “NEW & USED” art show in San Francisco at 3131 Clement Gallery. For more information visit:

About Element Skateboards:  In 1992 the Element seed was planted. Our goal was simple, to be the best we could be, in the most honest and ethical way possible. We joined together to elevate what we all truly believe in. Today, we continue to create the art, direction and message on a constant path to bring progress to skateboarding.  We are more than a business; we are a family, all on the same journey for the growth with-in ourselves, Element and all that surrounds us.
