Day of the Dead 2 in San Pedro
Posted by John Bradford

If you've ever been to Channel Street skatepark in San Pedro, the one under the bridge, you know the locals there have nothing but love for skateboarding. This was no more evident than on Sunday afternoon, when tons of people came to shred this hand made park to benefit its existence. There were best trick contests, raffles, costume contests and a showing of classic hearsts that turned heads to the parkinglot. All in all a fun afternoon for the love of skateboarding at this born out of blood, sweat and tears skatepark that continues to thrive, under a bridge, in San Pedro.

"Bring out your dead!"... Costumes were plentiful.
Chopper.
Classic hearst.
Another good one.
MJ showed up.
Best trick on the forkboard. Jay Weigelt, Frontside invert.
Our own Billy Deans announcing the whole day.
One hell of a sketchy obsticle...
Riley Stevens, gap up to tailslide.
Jake Plasecki, gap up to smith.
Cody Hager, Nose pick.
Tristan Rennie, Pint sized invert revert.
Lance Mountain showed up to pose with our own Jaime Owens and his little one, Grace.
...and to sign a couple autographs...
Billy called the raffle...
One lucky winner...
